Ken Schneider, Attorney at Law

It is important to hire an attorney that you trust and have confidence in. Deciding to file bankruptcy is one of the most important decisions you may ever make. It is not a decision that you should take lightly. I feel that my clients should know a little about me before deciding to have me represent them.

I was born and raised in the Everett area. I grew up in a typical middle class family where both the parents worked to support the family. I attended Mariner High School and graduated in 1981. After a short enlistment in the Army I enrolled at the University of Washington where I earned a bachelors degree from the School of Business in 1986. I worked a few years at Boeing then left to pursue my legal education. I received my law degree from Gonzaga University in 1992 and continued my legal education at the University of Florida. I graduated from the University of Florida in 1993 with a master's degree in tax law.

After graduating from the University of Florida I returned to Everett to start my legal practice. I have been in practice since 1993 with my main focus being on bankruptcy and tax issues. Currently, my practice is limited to representing individuals and small businesses in bankruptcy. I have been able to help thousands individuals, families and businesses file for bankruptcy.

Currently, I live in Lake Stevens. I am married with two young sons. In my free time I enjoy family bike rides, golf, and youth sports with my sons. My wife is an elementary school teacher in Marysville.

I understand that financial troubles can put a lot of stress on a person. Financial problems in a person's life can cause problems in other areas of their life as well.  When representing my clients I try to keep in mind that while I have filed thousands of bankruptcies this is probably their first one.  My favorite part of this job is meeting with clients and devising a plan that will get them a fresh start.

Another satisfying part of my job is hearing from past clients who have recovered financially.  Many former clients have said that filing for bankruptcy was one of the best financial decisions they ever made.  It is also rewarding to hear that the fresh start they obtained and the relief from stress that they received has provided a better life for them and their families.  One of the great things about being a bankruptcy attorney is that I have very few dissatisfied clients.
